This notice explains the cookies and similar technologies used on River Arts Observatory website (riverartsobservatory.com), and the choices you have. It does not cover the separate Obsera application.

Your choices

When you first visit, we ask for your cookie preferences. Only strictly necessary cookies are used until you actively consent to anything else. You can change or withdraw your choices at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.

Declining non-essential cookies does not affect your access to the website or to Obsera.

Strictly necessary (always on)

These are required for the website to work, for example, keeping your session secure, remembering your cookie choices and, during the pre-launch period, the site access gate. They are not used for analytics or advertising.

Analytics (off until you opt in)

With your consent, we use PostHog to collect anonymised usage information, such as pages visited and general interactions, to understand which pages are useful and improve the site. PostHog sets cookies or similar identifiers in your browser and receives technical information such as page URLs, referrer, approximate location derived from your IP address, and device and browser type. Analytics do not run until you opt in, and can be switched off again at any time.

Session recording (off until you opt in)

With your separate consent, PostHog session recording captures anonymised interactions (such as clicks, scrolling and navigation) to help us find and resolve usability problems. This is a distinct choice from analytics and stays off unless you turn it on.

What we do not do

We do not send your Obsera health information, assessments, profiles, observations, check-ins, notes or practices to PostHog or any website analytics provider. We do not use advertising cookies.

Providers

PostHog, product analytics and optional session recording. Information is sent to PostHog only after you consent to the relevant category.

Managing cookies

You can change your choices via "Cookie settings" in the footer, and you can also control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how the website works.
